lupa. is a positioning intelligence platform. We take the data you share with us seriously — because it is, in many cases, how you make your living. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
01
lupa. is operated by Culture-Watch LLC, a company incorporated in the State of New York. When we refer to “lupa.,” “we,” “us,” or “our” in this policy, we mean Culture-Watch LLC and its services.
Questions about this policy can be directed to: hello@culture-watch.com
02
We collect information you provide directly, information generated by your use of lupa., and public information you choose to share with us about your work as a creator.
Information you provide:
Information collected automatically:
Connected account data:
Part of lupa.’s analysis uses data from your connected social accounts — posts, comments, save rates, and engagement patterns. We only access accounts you explicitly connect and authorize, and access is read-only: we never post, message, or act on your behalf. You may disconnect your accounts at any time from your account settings, and you may also revoke lupa.’s access directly from the platform itself.
Public work, read at your request:
A First Read is run on your own public work, at your initiation. We do not read a creator’s public corpus on behalf of a brand or any other third party without that creator’s consent.
Audience language (third parties):
Reading how your work is received means processing the language of your audience — comments and replies written by people who are not our customers. We process this audience language in aggregate, to understand reception patterns. We do not store commenter identities as profiles, and we do not build records about individual commenters. If you have commented on a creator’s work and want material removed, you can reach us through our data deletion page.
03
We use the information we collect to:
We do not sell your personal information or your diagnostic results to third parties, and we do not participate in advertising networks.
What we will never do with your data. We will never sell or share your data with a credit card company, a data broker, or any brand that wants it to build a targeting list rather than to consider you for an actual partnership. Your data is used for one purpose: to be read for brand partnership fit. Nothing else.
Nothing about you reaches a brand without your consent. No read, score, or dossier concerning you is ever visible to, sold to, or shared with any brand or third party unless you have given recorded, affirmative “put me forward” consent. Each consent is specific: it covers one version of your dossier, for one named brand (or one category of brands you define). It is logged and timestamped, and you can revoke it at any time before the dossier is delivered to the brand. There is no directory of creators that brands can browse, and visibility to brands is never a default. A brand that receives your dossier is bound to confidentiality and may not reuse it.
We built this on one rule: you always see exactly what a brand sees.Your view of your dossier and a brand’s view of your dossier are identical. We will never share anything about you that you cannot see yourself.
Lawful basis. We rely on your consent to connect your social accounts and access their data, and on your recorded put-forward consent for any delivery of your dossier to a brand. We read public work only at the subject’s own request.
Email. Emails that deliver your read or concern your account are transactional. Ongoing notes from us are optional — every one carries an unsubscribe link, and every marketing email includes our postal address: Culture-Watch LLC, 315 W 54th Street, New York, NY 10019.
Your read is an opinion, and you can correct it.A read is lupa.’s automated interpretation of your public positioning — not a statement of fact about you. You have the right to access your read, to request that we rectify information you believe is inaccurate, to withdraw any put-forward consent at any time before delivery, to export your data, and to delete your account. To exercise any of these rights, use your account settings, our data deletion page, or contact us at privacy@culture-watch.com.
Retention and deletion. We retain your read and connected- account data only while your account is active. If you disconnect a social account, we stop accessing it and delete the data derived from it. If you close your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law. Documents already delivered to you — your First Read, your Positioning Brief — are yours as downloadable files and are unaffected by account closure.
California residents. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Your dossier reaches a brand only at your direction, through the recorded put-forward consent described above, which you can revoke at any time before delivery in your settings or by emailing privacy@culture-watch.com.
We may use aggregated, anonymized data — patterns across many creators, not attributable to any individual — to develop product features, publish research, or inform our public intelligence work.

We work with a small set of trusted third-party services to operate lupa. These include infrastructure providers, payment processors, and analytics tools. Each is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements with us. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
We do not integrate with advertising networks, data brokers, or audience intelligence platforms.
08
We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to your data within lupa. is restricted to personnel who need it to operate the service. We conduct regular security reviews.
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your data, we will notify you promptly in accordance with applicable law.
09
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or with a notice on the platform before they take effect.
Your continued use of lupa. after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
